→ On Wednesday, Beto joined Texans who work as janitors and are organizing alongside SEIU in the fight for a $15 minimum wage.
→ In response, Abbott's campaign lashed out with this: "Beto O'Rourke seems to want nothing more than to drive Texas' booming economy into a ditch."
This is hypocrisy at its finest: Just a few weeks ago, Abbott single-handedly ordered a blockade of commercial truck traffic coming into the U.S. It caused massive supply chain problems, drove up inflation across the country, crushed businesses, killed jobs, and cost Texas more than $4.2 billion in economic losses.
Beto believes that everyone working full time shouldn't have to work a second or a third job to make ends meet. Texans working full-time should be able to provide for themselves, take care of their kids, and contribute back to their community.
As governor, Beto will fight for workers and raise the minimum wage after it hasn't budged a penny in more than 12 years. Greg Abbott only cares about the corporate executives who write massive checks to his campaign.
Will you make a $3 contribution right now to help Beto defeat Greg Abbott in November? Every grassroots dollar will send the powerful message that we can take on Greg Abbott's corporate mega-donors and fight for workers across Texas.
Contribute $3
With your support, we can elect a governor who stands with workers and supports a living wage.
In solidarity,
Team Beto
