What we raise before midnight tomorrow will directly determine the course of this election.
Last night, Donald Trump came to Texas to spread his message of division and rally support for his buddy Greg Abbott.
We set a goal to raise $250,000 before Trump took the stage — and to be honest with you, we fell about $75,000 short.
We knew it was a stretch goal that we might not be able to reach in time, but we're up against Abbott's $62.6 million cash reserves, so we can't afford to sell ourselves short by aiming low.
Beto and our whole team — including myself — know we can close the gap with a little more time, so we've decided to extend our deadline for just a bit longer until midnight tomorrow, January 31st.
Can you contribute $3 or more to help hit our $250,000 fundraising goal before the end of the month? Time's running out to close the gap.
Contribute $3
Hitting this goal is critical to showing everyone that we have a people-powered movement that is ready to take on Abbott and Trump's politics of exclusion and their corrupt mega-donors.
While Abbott caters to corporate special interests and lies about the state of the power grid to protect his relationship with gas companies, we're fighting for a Texas that includes all of us.
In our vision for Texas, every Texan can afford to see a doctor, has the opportunity to pursue the education and the career of their dreams, and benefits from a government that will never fail its people (like Abbott failed during the winter storm). But to make this vision a reality, we need your help.
What we raise before midnight tomorrow will directly determine what we can do in this election, so we're pushing hard to hit $250,000 in time. Please, pitch in your first donation right now and help us reach $250,000 by midnight tomorrow.
Thank you for chipping in,
Jason Lee
Deputy Campaign Manager, Beto for Texas
