Donald Trump is set to take the stage in Conroe, TX tonight.
I'm emailing to share a timely update with you about the state of our race to defeat Greg Abbott. Then, I'm going to humbly ask if you could add a $3 donation today to help hit our $250,000 fundraising goal and elect Beto as Texas' next Governor.
Here's the rundown:
Donald Trump is set to take the stage in Texas TONIGHT. You can bet that Trump will rally his supporters behind Greg Abbott and tout his endorsement of Abbott's corrupt, divisive policies. It's more clear than ever that the GOP is going all-out to stay in power.
That's not all, though: Abbott is flooding the airwaves in Texas with attacks against Beto in every single media market. He's already spent $4 million on ads — an unprecedented amount for this early in the election year.
It's clear that we've got our work cut out for us in order to go up against Abbott and his $65 million in campaign cash — and that's not counting any money that comes in tonight from Trump's mega-donors.
But here's what I know for sure, and want to make sure you know too: Beto O'Rourke is the candidate to finally unseat Abbott. Beto has a positive vision that will move our state forward, and this team has the people-power to make it happen.
One $10, $25, and $50 donation at a time, we will build the resources to go toe-to-toe with Greg Abbott and his special interest donors. But to be transparent with you, we're falling short of our goal to raise $250,000 before Trump takes the stage, so we're hoping to see a lot more online donations come in today.
