Pamela, There's a new chair of the Democratic Party's official congressional campaign arm (the DCCC). That means we could see an end to the DCCC blacklist — a practice that banned Democratic vendors from working with progressive primary challengers. The DCCC has prioritized protecting corporate incumbents over providing a fair playing field for diverse, working-class, progressive challengers. New DCCC chair Sean Patrick Maloney said he wanted to end the blacklist. But we have to keep the pressure on Maloney to end this ridiculous blacklist and make sure Maloney keeps his promise. Sign our petition calling on new DCCC chair Sean Patrick Maloney to keep his word and end the DCCC blacklist right away. When the DCCC announced their blacklist policy in early 2019, they made it clear that they would rather protect entrenched incumbents than see more candidates like Ayanna Pressley or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez elected to Congress. Now, they have a chance to change course and repair some of the harm they have caused our progressive movement by ending the blacklist. But, we need the newly elected chair, Maloney, to stick to his word and end it. Add your name right now to demand that Rep. Maloney immediately ends the DCCC's policy of blacklisting vendors that work with primary challengers. Every signature will make a difference. Thank you for adding your name, Justice Democrats |
