Friend, I'm concerned. We have intel that the Biden-Harris team is steering in a dangerous direction on civil rights and racial justice. That is why our Grassroots Law Project team just launched a bold set of 55 justice-related policy demands. These are policies that the Biden-Harris administration can enact without any interference from Congress. We've already built strong momentum, but we need your help. Can you join Grassroots Law Project in demanding justice from the Biden-Harris team by adding your name right now? I need as many people as possible to do this – immediately. Already, nearly 40 families who've suffered deeply from police violence, mass incarceration, and racial injustice, have co-signed our demands – including the families of Philando Castile, Ahmaud Arbery, and Atatiana Jefferson. And thousands of Americans in cities from Anchorage to Atlanta, Denver to Detroit, San Francisco to Seattle, and beyond, have signed on. I know that you're tired. But listen. The Biden-Harris team is already setting their priorities, Cabinet members, and senior staff. If we do not mobilize in historic numbers now, our communities and concerns will be ignored. Please remember: the Biden-Harris team won the election because Black and brown folks and young people showed up. In Biden's victory speech, he said:
"The African American community stood up for me. You've always had my back. And I'll have yours. America called upon us... to achieve racial justice and root out systemic racism in this country." Now we have to organize to hold him to that promise. That is why I am asking you: Add your name to join Grassroots Law Project in demanding bold leadership on justice policy from the Biden-Harris team. The more people who sign on, the louder we'll be heard. Please, please do this right now, ok? There is no way we're making the mistake of assuming that Biden and Harris will keep their promises now that they're elected. Lives depend on enough of us demanding change now – that's why so many families who've lost loved ones are in this fight with us. Will you fight for them? I've gotta run now. We have no time to lose. – Shaun
