Regardless of the tantrum Trump is throwing, the Presidential election is finally over. But our work to stop climate change and win a Green New Deal in 2021 is just beginning. Will you sign our petition calling on the Biden administration to make climate a Day One priority? Sunrise is a movement of young people fighting to stop the climate crisis and create millions of good jobs in the process. We pushed Biden to make bold, Green New Deal-style climate mobilization a central component of his campaign, and then we helped send 3.5 million young people to the polls. Our work paid off—support from young voters, especially young voters of color, skyrocketed. Our generation delivered his margin of victory and helped save our democracy. But now, to make sure that Biden's new administration delivers on his promise, we need to show them that millions of people are with us in demanding immediate and aggressive action against climate change. We must build an unprecedented mass movement of the same coalition that came together to deliver Biden's victory—people of every age, race, and class background who believe in climate, racial, and economic justice. And with record-setting climate disasters and a historic recession devastating the country, there's no time to waste.
