Pamela, we've entered a new era in this nation. This is the moment where we made Donald Trump a one-term president. This is the moment where we came together to take a stand. This is the moment that St. Louis sent me to Washington as Missouri's first Black congresswoman. This is our moment. But this is only the first step in a long road to making this country work for everyone, not just the wealthy and powerful. The issues that have always plagued our communities still rage on, no matter who won or lost. That's why I need you to commit to the continuing fight — because real change comes through activism, and there's a whole lot of powerful people who want to stop that from happening. Will you sign on? Most members of Congress aren't working class like I am. Most of them don't understand the struggles we're facing everyday — poverty, violence, crushing debt, and the deadly effects of this pandemic on top of it all. I ran to represent us all in Congress because I am the people I serve. When I'm sworn into office, I'm joining a coalition of like-minded people who won't stop until we've passed Medicare for All, overhauled our immigration and policing systems, and guaranteed housing for everyone. And I'm taking your voices, your joys, and your power with me to my seat at the table. I'm a Congresswoman-elect now — but no one gets anywhere on their own. And I want to make sure that you're represented wherever I go. Please add your name now to commit to continuing this fight with me. We've got a long journey ahead, but I'm glad I have folks like you fighting by my side. In solidarity, Cori Bush |
