The new Republican policing bill completely misses the mark

Friends -

In June, Kamala and Cory Booker introduced the Justice in Policing Act that would hold law enforcement accountable for police misconduct.

Shortly after, Republicans introduced their policing bill that didn't ban no-knock warrants or outlaw chokeholds. It completely missed the mark.

If Republicans were serious, they would have supported Kamala's bill that bans the same no-knock warrants that were legal in Louisville when officers were able to burst into Breonna Taylor's home without warning and murder her.

Kamala's Justice in Policing Act would ban those no-knock warrants along with many other actions designed to address systemic police misconduct and the killing of Black Americans by police.

The bottom line is the Senate must pass this bill now, and we need your help to get it done:

Add your name today to become a Citizen Co-Sponsor of Kamala's Justice in Policing Act. Together we can fight for police accountability and re-imagine what public safety looks like.

CITIZEN CO-SPONSOR

This is the first-ever comprehensive police accountability and reform legislation on the federal level to address police misconduct.

This bill would take an important step towards achieving justice for Breonna, George, and for those who came before and never got their justice.

So we hope you can take a moment to add your name and join us in this fight.

Thank you in advance for supporting this important piece of legislation,

Team Kamala
