Folks --
Today, I am writing first and foremost to say thank you.
I have been entrusted with the duty to defeat Donald Trump in November.
I do not take this trust lightly. It will be the battle of a lifetime, but one I believe we are ready for and will rise to.
And we’re here because of you, all of you. Some who joined last year on April 25th when I launched my campaign, and some who are getting an email from me for the first time.
If you are brand new to this campaign: Welcome.
This is your campaign -- YOURS. We want you here. We need you here. You have a place here. You have a home here.
But we have a long way to go. I’ve never believed beating Donald Trump would be easy, but by now I think we all know it is necessary. And we’ll need to keep the House and win back the Senate, too.
So I need to ask you something really important, probably the most important thing I could ask you: Will you add your name to say you will vote for me in the general election against Donald Trump in November? We will send a lot of messages to you, because you are our lifeblood. You kept the lights on when people swore we were about to pack up and go home.
Well, we weren’t then, and we aren’t now. We have all of you. Most importantly, we have the opportunity to beat Donald Trump in November. It’s a shot we only get this once, and we won’t miss.
Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O’Rourke, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Andrew Yang, John Delaney, and Mike Bloomberg all made the decision to join our campaign and put their full faith in us.
We’re going to need this broad coalition to win in November. We need everyone to join us and not sit on the sidelines, which is why I will take no vote for granted, especially not yours. So I am asking one more time:
Will you say that your vote in November is a Biden vote? It’s important we have this information: And I have to thank you one last time, for everything. The history books will remember that we got to this point because of people like you, that refused to stop believing in the potential of this country to be better.
Joe Biden |
