What we are proving on this campaign

Friends -

We've sent a number of emails in advance of tonight's deadline. Probably more than some family and friends send. So I thought it important to explain what these messages mean to our campaign.

As you know, we have a record-setting number of donations on this campaign. But what you may not know is that the overwhelming majority of the contributions to Bernie's campaign come in response to emails like this one.

So when you see us on the air, when you see us rising in the polls, when you see us expanding staff in your state it is emails like this one that make it happen. Without them, we would not have a chance.

So with this deadline just a few hours away, this is one of those days we have to ask:

Can Bernie count on you to make a $2.70 contribution to our campaign before our midnight deadline? This is a big moment for us. One of the last deadlines before Iowa.

What we are proving on this campaign is that one does not need to beg millionaires and billionaires for money in order to run for president. If you run a campaign that speaks honestly and authentically to the needs of young people and working people, they will respond.
