Together, we can make history.
| Friend,
I'm running to unseat vulnerable Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith in Mississippi's competitive Senate race, and I need your help with a small contribution today. But first I want to explain why I got into this race:
I learned from my grandfather -- the son of slaves -- that anything is possible with perseverance. That lesson inspired me to make history as I was elected the first African American congressman from Mississippi since the Civil War Era. Then, I became the first and only African American to serve as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. Now, with your help, I can make history again by becoming Mississippi’s next Senator.
But winning this race is going to take hard work, and yes, perseverance, which is why I’m asking for your help today. Please, will you make history with me by splitting a $5 donation between my campaign and the DSCC to flip key Senate seats like Mississippi's?
The Republican I'm running to defeat, Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R), has been hurting Mississippi with her constant scandals, threatening our progress and our reputation.
As a Senator, she has been caught joking about attending a public hanging. She called voter suppression "a great idea." And she even posed for a photo while dressed as a confederate soldier.
Mississippians are fed up with Cindy Hyde-Smith's divisive behavior, and we came extraordinarily close to beating her in 2018. But she'll have Mitch McConnell's political machine behind her this time around. Defeating her is going to be tough.
I'll be direct: If we're going to beat her and flip this seat, I need your immediate support to run a top-notch campaign.
So I'm asking -- will you split a donation between my campaign and the DSCC to help flip key Senate seats like Mississippi's? Thank you,
Mike Espy U.S. Senate candidate, Mississippi
Mike Espy made history when he became the first African American to serve Mississippi in Congress since the Civil War Era. Then he made history again when President Clinton appointed him to be America's Secretary of Agriculture. Now he’s trying to make history once again by becoming Mississippi's next Senator -- and he needs your help. Pitch in $5 to help Mike Espy make history, FLIP a Mississippi Senate seat from red to blue and flip the Senate: DONATE |
