I need you

I’m humbly asking -- can I count on your $1 before the incredibly crucial deadline in 5 days? >>   As a young man in Selma, I was beaten so severely I thought I’d died. My skull was bashed in by Alabama State Troopers. White supremacists murdered dear friends before my eyes. All because we wanted basic civil rights.   With each passing day, this President tears apart the rights I nearly died to gain.   Just this month, I watched him praise white supremacists, insult the intelligence of Black Americans, and rip immigrant babies from their mothers’ arms.   Hear me loud and clear: This President is an enemy to the freedoms I shed blood for. We must urgently elect a Democratic Congress to stop him.     I’ll keep fighting injustice until my last breath, but I can’t do it on my own. I know more than anyone it takes a movement of people taking a stand.   I’m asking 36,342 strong Democrats to step up before the urgent End of Month Deadline in 5 days. I thought I’d be locked in jail forever. But I lived, I was free, and so I got up and tried it again.   I will always fight injustice, especially from the President of the United States.   I will not stand by as this President says Black folk have low IQs.   I refuse to do nothing as this President shuts down peaceful protests from Black athletes.   I will never stay silent as this President cages Hispanic babies at the border like animals.   No -- I will rise up in protest once again. I will do everything in my power to elect a Democratic House that will stop him. And I am counting on you to rise up with me.   Please, rush in $1 in the next 5 days. We have only a small amount of time to stop this President. We will only get this done if we all band together.
