Breaking: Thousands of National Guard members activated in response to Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene will hit Florida’s Gulf Coast today as the strongest hurricane to make landfall in the United States in over a year. Thousands of Florida residents have already evacuated as the hurricane threatens to unleash torrential rainfall, damaging winds and life-threatening storm surge.

As the storm moves toward the coast, our National Guard have been activated to provide critical support for their neighbors. And as they support Americans throughout the region impacted by this disaster, the USO will be there by their side — but we need your help.

Help us reach an emergency-response goal of $30,000 via email and text message by midnight to help ensure we’re prepared to support all of our service members, including our National Guard, no matter what. Please, will you donate $29 or more now to support our heroes at this critical moment and into the future?*

The heroes who serve in our National Guard are ready to jump into action at any moment to serve Americans at home and abroad. They are a critical part of our country’s response to hurricanes, wildfires and other disasters, conducting lifesaving search and rescue missions and helping communities rebuild in the wake of emergencies like Hurricane Helene.

With your help, the USO is there for them, providing resources like Mobile USO vehicles to bring a bit of home and normalcy while they work in disaster zones. In times of crisis, our support, and yours, is more important than ever.

Please rush $29 or more to stand with National Guard members responding to Hurricane Helene and all our military heroes across the globe, now and into the future.*

Thank you for supporting our heroes in these critical moments.

—The USO
