The Academy Award-winning filmmakers of The Sixth -- a high profile documentary on the January 6th insurrection that was mysteriously back-burnered by nervous executives this year -- are participating in a panel with us on their movie, its impact, and how we move forward with open eyes in this November election. And now, we're making it even easier to see the incredible film. Join us for a panel discussion with Rep. Jamie Raskin, documentary filmmakers Andrea Nix Fine and Sean Fine, and our own Ezra Levin on Tuesday, October 8 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Created by Andrea Nix Fine and Sean Fine, The Sixth is an in-depth look at the experiences of those who were there, and forces us to reckon with the impacts of Trump's rhetoric on the very people tasked with defending our democracy. Featuring Rep. Jamie Raskin, MPD officers, congressional staffers, and others present at the Capitol, The Sixth uses previously-unseen footage to take an unflinching look at the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War. Symone D. Sanders Townsend from The Weekend on MSNBC called it "the best documentary I've ever seen." The Washington Post said it "should be seen by all." Even Roll Call, the newspaper that's covered Capitol Hill since 1955, said watching it should be required for every incoming Member of Congress. So why didn't this pro-democracy film get the big, splashy treatment that other A24 films have received? We have some billionaire-sized guesses, but we're more about taking action than placing blame.
