As you know too well, House Democrats ALREADY PASSED legislative solutions to defend and reinforce our Democracy when we had the majority.
– As Speaker, I led our House Democrats to pass the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act in 2021.
– Then, sadly, Mitch McConnell's Senate Republicans shamefully BLOCKED its passage.
– Now, I will do EVERYTHING in my power to elect pro-Democracy Democrats across America and restore our Democratic trifecta to defend the freedom to vote of every voter in every zip code.
If we want to maximize our chance of saving our Democracy, taking back the House, and STOPPING Republicans from barging back into power, I’m going to need every single Democrat to step up and do their part in this historic election. As of 5:30pm, I'm calling on 68,968 of my most loyal Democrats to chip in $3 to the DCCC before the mid-month deadline. Can I count on you to step up?
I cannot overstate how catastrophic the consequences would be if Republicans held or expanded their extremist MAGA Majority in the House in this pivotal election and executed their radical anti-freedom, anti-Democracy agenda for another two years.
We cannot let that happen! Together, we can and will defeat them this November.
