Pamela, Our country's decades-long investment in mass incarceration has destroyed countless lives, torn apart communities, and continues to strip millions of people of their basic rights every day.
And for what? Mountains of evidence show how ineffective our racist and unjust criminal legal system is at keeping our communities safe. It's past time for it to end.
It's why we're here, Pamela. It's why Vera is mobilizing as many people as possible—caring (and fed up) people like you—to keep our work to end mass incarceration going. |
