CALL: Urge Rep. Jamie Raskin to support student debt cancellation!

Biden may be canceling some student debt, and this could be a historic decision that benefits millions of borrowers.

Dear MoveOn member,

This week, President Biden indicated that he's open to canceling some amount of federal student loan debt.1

If Biden follows through, this could be a historic decision that benefits the lives of millions of borrowers.

Over 60 House Democrats have signed onto House Resolution 100, sponsored by Representative Ayanna Pressley, which calls for President Biden to take executive action to broadly cancel federal student loan debt.2

Can you contact your member of Congress, Representative Jamie Raskin, at 844-818-9330, and urge him to cosponsor H.Res.100, in support of Biden canceling federal student loan debt?

Student borrowers are in desperate need of relief, especially as the inflation crisis continues to worsen by the day. While on the 2020 campaign trail, President Biden assured voters that he'd cancel at least $10,000 of student loan debt—now it's time that he makes good on this promise.3 He's more likely to act boldly on cancelling student debt if he knows Congress and the country have his back.

President Biden has the authority to take executive action to cancel student debt—can you call Rep. Jamie Raskin at 844-818-9330, and tell him that you support President Biden canceling student debt, and ask him to cosponsor H.Res.100?

Thanks for all you do.
