Here's why this is so important: Friday doesn't just mark the end of 2021, it marks the end of our reporting period — after which we'll have to make our fundraising numbers public with the Texas Ethics Commission for the very first time.
What we're able to raise before January 1st will have an outsized impact on this race, so we've set a goal to raise an additional $500,000 in online grassroots donations before midnight on December 31st.
Reporters have already started to reach out and ask if we're going to post record-breaking numbers, and our opponents are closely watching to see if we'll have the strength to go up against Greg Abbott's $55 million war chest.
