Your $6 contribution to Jay, Andru, David, Peter, and Gary

One important way that we must continue growing our movement is by electing progressives at all levels of government.

Friends -

You know as well as I do that our campaign for president was never simply about winning an election. It was about building a movement that is prepared to take on the billionaire class and transform this country. And, I'm happy to tell you, we are making enormous progress. Strong progressive candidates are winning primaries all across this country at the federal, state and local level.

Our job now is to continue that progress. We must stand with candidates who will take on powerful special interests — people we can trust to fight for our agenda once they're in office.

At this moment in American history — in the midst of a global pandemic, an economic meltdown, and the struggle for racial justice and an end to police brutality — it has never been more important to elect candidates who will fight for a strong, progressive agenda.

That is why today I am proud to support five strong candidates running for governor and for Congress, and I hope you will join me. You can read more about them below. But first, I would like to ask:

If you can afford to, can I count on you to split a $6 contribution today between five progressive candidates and our campaign?

Jay Inslee is seeking re-election as governor of Washington State. Fighting climate change was the centerpiece of his campaign for president, and he knows that we must move to 100% clean energy to save our planet for future generations. Under his leadership in Washington, the state has set an example to the rest of the country through its commitment to fighting for progress and has been on the frontlines of taking on the Trump administration.

Andru Volinsky is running for governor in New Hampshire and played a big role in helping us win that state during our campaign for president. Andru believes health care is a human right, a quality education must be accessible to all, and our planet faces a climate emergency that must be addressed immediately. Coming from a working class family, Andru is the only one in his family to go to college and has fought against injustice his whole life.

David Zuckerman has been serving Vermont for more than 20 years as a state legislator, state senator, and lieutenant governor. Now he's running for governor to continue fighting for a $15 minimum wage, universal pre-K, free in-state college tuition, renewable and sustainable energy, and health care as a human right. As a farmer and small business owner, David understands the unique challenges facing people across the state of Vermont.

Gary Peters is up for re-election for U.S. Senate in Michigan, and defending his seat will be critical if Democrats are going to regain a majority in the Senate. Gary has helped lead the fight to lower prescription drug prices, defend the environment, and strengthen our public school system. We need his continued leadership in the Senate, and the only way he will win re-election is if all of us come together to support his campaign.

Peter DeFazio is running for re-election in Oregon's 4th congressional district and has been a long-time leader in Congress taking on a corrupt political and economic system that benefits the wealthy at the expense of everyone else. He is committed to taking on powerful special interests and he understands that we must put forth policies that put working people first.

These five tremendous candidates are prepared to fight for the working class and create a government that works for all of us. I am proud to support their campaigns, and today I am asking you to join me.

Please split a $6 contribution — only if you can afford it — to stand with these five candidates and help grow our movement across the country.

I understand that right now times are tough, and you may not be able to make a contribution. But if your financial situation allows for it, your contribution to these candidates would make a big difference for their campaigns.

Thank you for being a part of this movement. Our struggle continues.

In solidarity,

Bernie Sanders
