Take Action to Protect Voting Rights with the ACLU

We can't say it enough: No one should have to choose between their vote and their health.

Friend –

We can't say it enough: No one should have to choose between their vote and their health.

At the ACLU, we're fighting hard to protect voting rights during the pandemic. As people take to the streets to have their voices heard, ensuring everyone's voice is heard on Election Day is more urgent than ever. There's something you can do right now to help.

We're making sure that our senators feel the pressure to guarantee free and fair elections – for all of us. Will you send an urgent message asking Congress to require that every state lets people vote by mail and expands early voting?

Some politicians will stop at nothing to restrict voting access – even if it means putting people's health at risk. This is not only dangerous, it's an affront to our democracy. We cannot, and will not, let it happen. Congress must require that all states offer vote-by-mail to every eligible voter and expand early voting, and Congress needs to provide the funds so safe voting can be a reality across the country.

In the recently passed HEROES ACT, the House ensured these vital measures were included. Now, we must urge the Senate to build upon the legislation by passing the stimulus provisions in the HEROES ACT – and for senators to co-sponsor the VoteSafe Act as well.

I hope you'll do your part to defend our fundamental right and take action today. Demand that the Senate protects everyone's right to vote safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Your voice is critical to this fight if we hope to be heard by those in charge.

Thank you for taking action,
