US foreign policy needs to be re-thought from the ground up.

Our military budget is as out of whack as municipal budgets, where the military and the police force each occupies over 50% of all spending.

Tell Congress:

"Support progressive U.S. foreign policy principles. Return war powers to Congress; reduce the Pentagon budget; reject discriminatory immigration policies and supporting refugees; and end support for governments that violate human rights."

Friend,

Team America: World Police had a point.

American foreign policy is as broken as our policing system, where we send drone strikes to mostly-brown regions instead of building them up. We need a new vision for a progressive foreign policy.

It is time to end our endless wars and adopt a new approach to international relations, one in which the U.S. abides by international law, encourages others to do the same, and utilizes our military solely for the defense of the people of our country.

Our military budget is as out of whack as municipal budgets, where the military and the police force each occupies over 50% of all spending.

ADD YOUR NAME: Tell Congress to embrace progressive foreign policy principles!

Here's what our coalition is calling for:

  • Returning war powers to Congress

  • Reducing the Pentagon budget

  • Rejecting discriminatory immigration policies and supporting refugees

  • Ending support for governments that violate human rights

We must embrace a sensible, progressive foreign policy and invest in our own nation and infrastructure.

America's response to the coronavirus―the worst in the world―is a testament to our misplaced priorities. Travel bans and sabre rattling don't work. We need compassion and strategy.
