In just a moment, I am going to ask if Bernie can count on you to make a contribution to our campaign before tomorrow's end-of-month fundraising deadline comes to a close. Please give me a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important.
Here is the truth: last quarter we were out-raised by a few of our opponents. That's not ideal, and we're really working hard to close the gap.
This is important. The race is heating up and we are finalizing staff and media budgets right now. And it is what we do in the next few weeks and months that will determine whether we win this race or not.
So our job right now is to close that contribution gap, and we're hoping Bernie can count on you to help by adding your first online contribution before it's too late:
Reaching for tough goals is pretty much right within the wheelhouse of what this campaign and our efforts to transform the economy are all about.
