I won’t accept these things as fate

Our planet is on fire and our president is in denial. There's more than one gun for every soul in America. Hate crimes are on the rise three years straight. There are little kids — taken from their parents — in cages, sleeping on concrete floors under tin foil blankets.

Our planet is on fire and our president is in denial.

There's more than one gun for every soul in America.

Hate crimes are on the rise three years straight.

There are little kids — taken from their parents — in cages, sleeping on concrete floors under tin foil blankets.

I don't accept this as our fate. In fact, I believe this moment of maximum peril may also be our greatest moment of promise.

We can unleash the ingenuity and political will of millions of Americans to meet the existential threat of climate change before it's too late. We can get assault weapons out of our stores and off our streets. We can turn the dangerous tides of hate before they grow even stronger. And we can rewrite our immigration laws in our own image.

It's important that I said "we" here, because I can't do any of these things alone. No one person can. Only we, together, can do them. And only if we build a big, bold, inclusive movement. One that goes everywhere, fights for everyone, and doesn't write anyone off or take anyone for granted.

For any of this to be possible, millions of us have to give it our all and give it for all of us. Are you in? You can join us right now by donating here:

It doesn't matter how much you give. The only thing that matters is that we build this together. All people, no PACs. All people, no corporations, special interests or D.C. lobbyists. All people, everywhere, all the time.

I'm so proud to be in this with you.

Beto
