| | Hi friend, it's Sen. Sherrod Brown from Ohio. In a moment, I'm going to ask you to chip in to my reelection campaign, but first, I want to tell you a story. I grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, a town made up of autoworkers, carpenters, and ironworkers. When school would let out for the summer, I'd go to work on my family's farm. Growing up in Mansfield, I learned that no matter who you are, where you live, or what kind of work you do, your hard work should pay off. This is what we call the Dignity of Work. And I fight for it every day. | It doesn't matter if you wear coveralls or a suit – I'll fight for you. | It doesn't matter if you work for tips or a salary, I've got your back. | It doesn't matter if you spend your days in an office or out in a field, as long as I'm your Senator, you've got an ally. | But the hard truth is, I'm up against three self-funding Republicans who would rather give their mega-donors tax breaks than advocate for a livable wage. Unlike my opponents, I'm running a grassroots campaign, which means I'm counting on folks like you to help me overcome the GOP's millions and win this race. | So I'm personally asking, friend: Will you rush $5 or more so we can win in Ohio, keep the Senate blue, and continue our fight for the Dignity of Work? | Thank you for being on my team, friend. | | | | | | | | |
