After several hours, Afri and her family were rescued, but tragically, her younger brother Ezatullah* did not survive. The family lost two goats and two cows, which they relied on for milk and to earn a living. Afri and her surviving siblings were all injured, requiring expensive medical care. Now, they’re living in a tent that offers little protection from the elements. Friend, Save the Children supporters helped provide a family like Afri’s and 2,000 others impacted by the earthquake with vital cash grants. Afri’s father used theirs to pay for Afri and her siblings’ medical care.
