Thanks to the hard work of this grassroots team, Democrats took back the Senate this year, and we've worked to serve working families ever since. It's a stark difference from the days of Republican control, when Mitch McConnell wielded his power to attempt to take health care away from millions, give tax breaks to special interests, and obstruct progress at every turn.
But if Democrats lose just one seat in the Senate next year, we could be right back to square one. The DNC is the only organization responsible for electing Democrats from the school board to the Senate -- and they're investing early in the organizing staff, voter protection programs, and more we'll need to win in 2022 -- so I have to ask:
Will you donate $7 to the DNC before their major end-of-month deadline at midnight tonight?
Earlier this year, Democrats passed the American Rescue Plan -- without a single Republican vote, mind you -- to start beating back the pandemic and getting help to those who needed it most. And, just this month, we passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to make once-in-a-generation investments in rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure, expanding broadband internet access, replacing dangerous lead pipes and service lines and much, much more.
We're starting to build back better, but this is just the beginning -- and we need more Democratic colleagues in Congress to keep it up.
Some of these upcoming races could be decided by a handful of votes. The work we're able to do together right now -- from supporting Democratic organizers on the ground to heading up our largest-ever voter protection program -- could be the difference between holding our majorities or letting them slip back into the hands of Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy.
So, if you're able, donate $7 to the DNC before tonight's fundraising deadline. Whatever you're able to give will go a long way towards protecting and expanding our Democratic majorities in 2021 and 2022.
Thank you for your support,
Tammy
