Friends,
It's clear now that this virus impacts everyone—it doesn't care about race, ethnicity, or immigration status. And that means that vital COVID-19 resources must be available regardless of immigration status.
However, right now, two million undocumented Californians are facing extreme economic hardship as a result of the coronavirus.
These families cannot access federal relief and have no means of keeping a roof over their heads or putting food on the table.
That's why today we're supporting the California Immigrant Resilience Fund, a public-private partnership with Governor Gavin Newsom with a goal of raising $50 million to provide cash assistance to undocumented Californians and their families who are ineligible for COVID-19 federal relief.
A donation from you today will make a huge difference in the lives of thousands of families struggling to make ends meet amid this crisis.
If you are able, click here to make a donation to the California Immigrant Resilience Fund. Your support will help families who need our help during this crisis. We are all in this together!
These immigrant families are integral to our social fabric as part of many Californian families and as caregivers for our children and elders.
They also play a vital role in our economy—from picking, cooking, and serving our food to building our homes and cleaning our offices.
Supporting these members of our communities is crucial, because we are strongest when we lift everyone up.
In the weeks ahead it's going to be critical that we come together to help each other, check in on each other, and if you're able to, stay home and stay healthy.
Thank you in advance for chipping in to help immigrant families during this crisis.
Our very best,
Team Kamala
