Friends -
When Bernie first ran for president in 2016, many of the ideas driving the campaign were called "fringe" or "radical."
Guaranteeing health care as a right to all. Too radical. Raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour. Too radical. Taking aggressive action to fight climate change. Too radical. Making the wealthy pay their fair share in taxes. Too radical. Making public colleges tuition free. Too radical.
Today those ideas are no longer considered radical. In fact, they are supported by many other presidential candidates.
So before Bernie takes the debate stage on Tuesday, we thought now would be a good time to check in and hear from you directly.
Take our brief survey to share what issues matter most to you in this campaign.
Here's the first question:
When you tune in to the debates this week, you will hear the candidates discuss a number of our issues – issues that Bernie has been fighting for his entire career.
That isn't by chance. It is thanks in large part to our movement – people like you who are sending a clear message that it's past time to create a government that works for all of us, not just those at the top.
But the only way we will win on our issues and transform our country is by continuing to build the largest grassroots movement ever seen in American politics. You're an important part of that movement, which is why we'd like to hear from you today.
Thanks for weighing in before Bernie takes the stage on Tuesday.
In solidarity,
Team Bernie
