I’m humbly asking -- will you chip in $1 before the incredibly crucial deadline in 72 hours? >>   I didn’t shed blood on the bridge in Selma for my right to participate -- just to let this President and his Russian friends poison our sacred elections.   I didn’t get beaten by angry mobs for my right to vote -- just so this President could appoint a Supreme Court Justice that would rip it away.   And my dear friends didn’t die in protest of inequality -- just to watch this President treat our immigrant brothers and sisters like criminals.   Hear me loud and clear: This President is an enemy to the democracy I spilled blood to build. He must be stopped. And we are the only people who can stop him.   If -- and only if -- we band together, we will elect a Democratic Congress to put him in check. None of us can do it alone. I know better than anyone it takes a movement of people taking a stand.   I wouldn’t ask if Tuesday’s End of Month Deadline wasn’t absolutely critical: Can I count on your $1?   Chip in $1 immediately >> Chip in $35 immediately >> Chip in $50 immediately >> Chip in $100 immediately >> Chip in $250 immediately >> Or donate another amount >>   Decades after I marched in Selma, I’m watching injustice rear its ugly head again.   I just witnessed this President cower before a foreign adversary and invite further interference in our democratic process. And I watched Republicans in Congress defend him. I think our leaders should protect our country from all threats -- foreign and domestic -- don’t you?   I watched this President rip newborn infants from their mothers’ arms, put them into cages, and leave them separated for weeks on end -- all because they came to our country fleeing violence. I’ve never seen anything like it -- and I never want to again.   After violence between neo-Nazis and good people in Charlottesville, I witnessed our President place equal blame on both sides. I simply won’t stomach that -- and neither should you.   I’ve witnessed a whole lot of injustice in my lifetime -- and the injustice I’ve seen under this Administration has been among the worst. I don’t say that lightly.   This End of Month Deadline is the biggest moment we’ve faced yet. I can’t overstate the urgency of winning a Democratic House to put a check this dangerous President.
