Today, I joined with MoveOn members, allies, and an eight-piece band at the Capitol to support progressives who are holding the line on the President's Build Back Better agenda.
It made such a big impact that we're coming back on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week, with a vote expected on THURSDAY on the Build Back Better Act. Will you come to the Capitol at 12:30 p.m. to chant, dance, and make some noise for progressives and Build Back Better?
The Build Back Better agenda is under threat from a few corporate Democrats who are more concerned about delivering for their corporate donors than delivering transformative investments in our communities. But progressives are staying strong and demanding that no cuts get made to the Build Back Better Act, which would create energy efficiency and clean energy standards, good-paying union jobs, free community college tuition, and universal preschool; huge savings on child care costs; add dental, vision, and hearing coverage to Medicare; and so much more.
This week is crucial in Washington, D.C., with a vote expected on Thursday that could determine the fate of the Build Back Better Act. This is why it's so important that you come out to the Capitol every day this week—but most importantly on Thursday at 12:30 p.m.—to show progressives we've got their back. RSVP here for more info.
Together, we can represent the voices of millions of people who can't make it to D.C. Build Back Better is wildly popular across the country, and now we can help ensure it becomes law without corporate Democrats watering it down because of pressure from corporations. You'll get to meet MoveOn members and staff, and there may be guest appearances from some of our favorite members of Congress too!
The investments in climate, care, and citizenship in the Build Back Better Act are the types of policies we need to create a country where everyone can thrive. Show up at the Capitol this week to add your voice in support of progressives using all their power to pass the Build Back Better Act.
