Friends -
We'd like to ask you to make your first contribution to our campaign today. But first, here are a few brief updates on our fundraising:
- November is historically a tough month for fundraising, and it is very important that we don't fall behind our goals.
- Bernie doesn't travel the country holding private fundraising events. The majority of money raised to this campaign comes from lots of people contributing to emails like this one.
- In order to raise what is required to win, we need to maximize the number of contributions made during this first week of November. Since our records show you haven't donated yet, we're hoping you can chip in for the first time.
Here is the truth: this week the digital fundraising team is finalizing projections for what our campaign can expect to raise in the months ahead.
Those projections will inform critical spending and staffing decisions as we continue to grow our movement across the country. And if we can meet our goals, we are going to be in a strong position to win this election and transform our country.
Staying on track in November is the first step toward winning in states like Iowa and New Hampshire in February. That is why we need to ask:
During our 2016 campaign, we proved that you can run a competitive campaign for president without asking rich people for money. That is what we must do again in this race – except this time, we're gonna win.
In solidarity,
Team Bernie
