26,000,000+

Our campaign finance system is an absolute embarrassment.

Friends -

Let's say Mike Bloomberg decided to spend just 1 percent of his obscene wealth in his quest to buy the presidency. That'd be around $500 million — a figure that is certainly possible.

Do you know how many Bernie Sanders donations it would take to match that, at an average donation of $19? The answer is more than 26 million donations.

That's how preposterous this system of campaign finance is and how the deck is stacked against campaigns powered by working people and candidates without extreme wealth or connections.

But that is the fight we are now in, and so we have to ask:

Can you make a $2.70 contribution to our campaign today? We're hoping for lots and lots of donations this weekend to fight back against the billionaires trying to buy our elections as candidates, or support Joe Biden's super PAC.

Our campaign finance system is an absolute embarrassment. And when we are in the White House, that is going to change. But Bernie cannot do it alone. So THANK YOU for chipping in. Especially today.

All my best,

Faiz Shakir
Campaign Manager
