It’s almost over

You should be very proud.

Friends -

Anyone who knows me knows I hate asking people for money. It's one of the worst parts about running for office.

But with our FEC fundraising deadline almost over that's what I gotta do: I gotta ask you for money.

Because this deadline is a big one. Not only because we'll report how much money we've raised and how many donations we've received, but we'll immediately be putting those contributions to work winning this primary.

And because we don't raise money at high-dollar fundraisers like most other campaigns, our job is to generate as many individual donations as we possibly can between now and tomorrow at midnight. So I am asking:

Can you make your first online $2.70 contribution to our campaign before our FEC fundraising deadline comes to an end tomorrow? I would not ask were it not so important to our fight.

As difficult as it is to ask people to contribute, I am very proud of the way this campaign raises money. You should be, too. But as much as I wish we could, we cannot stop now. Tomorrow's deadline is important. So thank you for adding a donation before it's too late.
