Pamela --
Last night, the House Rules Committee convened at 1 am and continued to debate through the night and morning.
Here's where that leaves us: 1) representatives know this bill is unpopular, and they're dragging their feet; and 2) Republican leadership will not back down. Trump is expected to meet with Speaker Mike Johnson and far-right Republicans TODAY to demand the reconciliation package come to the floor for a vote as soon as tonight.
Time is limited. We need to use every second we have before the House votes on this bill to fully repeal our clean energy progress and cut Medicaid.
Pamela, please use the quick and easy call tool on our website to call your representative and tell them to protect our future. Each call only takes a couple of minutes and makes a huge impact.

Right now, Pamela, Republican leadership in the House is doing everything they can to force their unpopular and extreme reconciliation budget bill through the House and over to the Senate before the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
Here's what's happening next: The Rules Committee will vote to advance this bill for a floor vote at 1 am ET tonight. Yes, you read that right -- in the middle of the night.
Pressure is mounting, and Republican leadership knows their budget isn't popular. We need your help to keep up the calls to Congress ahead of the 1 am Rules Committee vote tonight. Pamela, call your representative today.
This extreme bill not only attacks Medicaid and critical services Americans depend on, but it also amounts to a full repeal of the climate and clean energy progress we've made. It puts 400,000 good-paying clean energy jobs on the chopping block and hikes up our energy costs to deliver huge tax cuts for billionaires. And we'll do everything we can to make sure it doesn't pass.
Thank you for speaking out,
Climate Power
Public pressure is a valuable tool, and Climate Power is mobilizing voters in key districts to persuade their representaitves to say NO to climate cuts. Our campaign is working, but we need your support to keep up the pressure. Will you chip in? |
