Pamela, Common Cause Florida leads the Florida Election Protection Coalition -- the state's largest nonpartisan voter protection program. We work together with partners year-round to ensure all Florida voters have an equal opportunity to vote and have that vote count.
To help voters and stop any attempts at voter suppression in the 2024 General Election, we need pro-voter eyes and ears on the ground – that's where you come in!
We are looking for volunteers to fill critical voter protection roles across the state:
-
Nonpartisan Poll Monitors support voters outside priority polling places during Early Voting and/or Election Day. You will be trained to answer voter questions, observe issues impacting the ability of voters to cast their ballots, and connect voters to legal support. Sign up here (English and Spanish training options available): https://bit.ly/Poll-Monitor-Training-2024
-
Canvassing Board Monitors observe vote counting and processing at the Supervisor of Elections office. You will be trained to observe County Canvassing Boards during Vote-by-Mail and Provisional Ballot Reviews, Logic and Accuracy Tests, Certification, Audits, and Recounts. Click here to sign up: https://bit.ly/canvassboard
Voting Rights Legal Monitors are volunteer/pro-bono attorneys and J.D. holders who assess and rapidly respond to voting rights issues at polling places on Election Day. You will be trained on poll monitoring and observation, how to take declarations from impacted voters, and how to assess polling locations for compliance with laws around disability access. Interested lawyers and J.D. holders can sign up here: https://wetheaction.org/projects/2447-voting-rights-legal-monitor-november-5th
All volunteers with the Florida Election Protection Coalition receive comprehensive training and resources and are supported during their shifts by voting rights experts in the Florida Election Protection Command Center.
We can't do this essential nonpartisan work without pro-voter volunteers like you.
Sign up today! With your help, we will ensure every voter has their voice heard.
Thanks for all that you do,
Abeni Davies, Outreach and Engagement Manager
and the Common Cause Florida team
