That's because in 2017, Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell put expiration dates on a bunch of their tax giveaways to hide their long-term cost. The were cynically betting that the president in 2025 would be forced to renew the bulk of them, like Obama did with the Bush tax cuts. Tell Congress: Don't fall for Trump's trap!
