Pamela, as I'm sure you're already aware, early voting began on Monday in most counties—and we're already seeing remarkable turnout across the state.
Starting today, all counties in Florida have early voting through next Saturday, November 2 – some will even have early voting all the way to November 3rd!
For those of you who have already voted, thank you! Every vote is a step towards a brighter future, and your participation strengthens our community.
As millions of Floridians continue to cast their ballots, it's important to ensure that you, or friends, family and neighbors, keep these essential voter tips in mind:
-
Check the dates, hours and locations for early voting in your county. Use this tool to find early voting availability near you >>
-
Be sure you bring a photo/signature ID with you to the polls. Check out our Voting in Florida page to find out what identification can be used to vote in-person. >>
-
Be ready if there's a line. Early voting sites may be limited in number, so depending on when you go, there may be a line. Don't be caught by surprise! Check your Supervisor of Elections website for wait times before you leave.
-
Have the Election Protection Hotlines handy if needed. If you or others in line run into problems casting your ballot, you can call these numbers for voter assistance: 1-866-OUR-VOTE (English), 888-VE-Y-VOTA (Spanish), 844-YALLA-US (Arabic), and 888-API-VOTE (Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, and Tagalog). In Florida, voters also have access to our Haitian-Creole Voter Support line (727-308-3009, press 2).

Did you receive a Vote-By-Mail ballot and now want to vote in-person? No problem! You can bring your VBM ballot to any early voting location in your county, or to your assigned polling location on Election Day, and exchange it for an in-person ballot. If you or someone you know requested a mail ballot but didn't receive it (or lost it), you can still vote in person! Just explain the situation to the poll workers.
Voting early is important, Pamela. It helps reduce long lines and wait times on Election Day and ensures any issues can be resolved in time for your vote to be cast and counted.
With the recent hurricanes and busy schedules, voting early is a great option that boosts turnout by making the process more accessible - enabling more voices to be heard.
If you can, please help by forwarding this email to three friends or family members, and encourage them to make a plan to cast their ballot EARLY.
Thanks for your ongoing dedication,
Abeni Davies, Outreach and Engagement Manager
and the team at Common Cause Florida
PS: Looking to help other voters? Forward this email to three of your friends to spread the word! We are also still recruiting volunteers for our nonpartisan Election Protection efforts, including roles like monitoring the polls on election day. People across the state are getting trained to be poll monitors, and there's still time for you to join us!
