Senators Sherrod Brown and Ron Wyden introduced the Stop Predatory Investing Act to halt this version of Wall Street greed. Corporate landlords and real estate investment firms shouldn't be driving up housing costs for all Americans. Sign the petition: Tell Congress to pass the Stop Predatory Investing Act to put the people ahead of Wall Street greed in the housing market. After introducing the bill, Senator Wyden said, "America's housing policy desperately needs a remodel, and by looking out for the interests of working people and the middle class, this bill represents a key part of the blueprints." This legislation will help keep renters in their current homes, open up new affordable housing for first-time homebuyers and potential renters, and reduce advantages held by private equity firms who currently dominate the markets. As a result, more families will have a safe and affordable place to live. Add your name: Reduce the cost of housing with the Stop Predatory Investing Act! |
