1️⃣ Wisconsin: Republicans cut university funding over DEI programs In Wisconsin, GOP lawmakers voted to cut the University of Wisconsin System's budget by $32 million due to anger over the system's diversity, equity, and inclusion programming → 2️⃣ Maine: Senate Democrats pass paid family and medical leave In Maine, Democrats passed a proposal to create a paid family and medical leave policy. The bill will head to the House for a vote → 3️⃣ Pennsylvania: Democrats vote to increase the state's minimum wage In Pennsylvania, House Democrats voted to increase the state's minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 by the year 2026.
