Friends,
This past weekend, Mitch McConnell put forward a bill that fails our workers by bailing out big corporations by giving them fistfuls of money without requiring them to protect their workers or keep people employed.
The coronavirus pandemic has upended daily life for millions of Americans, many of who won't make ends meet at the end of this month.
Instead, McConnell's bill gives the Trump administration authority to hand out $500 billion to corporations without any real protection for workers.
It's this simple: we need to put people over profits.
Kamala voted no on McConnell's bill because it doesn't do nearly enough to help the people who are struggling during this crisis. She's fighting for us during this crisis, but she needs our help.
Will you add your name today and join Kamala to demand that Mitch McConnell puts forward a recovery bill that puts people over profits?
Monthly cash payments. Paid family and sick leave. Student loan forgiveness. Bans on all evictions and foreclosures.
These are the things the Senate should be prioritizing to help Americans who are hurting right now—not corporate handouts.
Confronting this public health and economic crisis is going to require a serious bipartisan response.
So take a moment to sign on and join Kamala today to fight for a recovery bill that will help the American people, not a handout to big corporations.
Thank you in advance for adding your name,
Team Kamala
