Friends -
We are facing a bit of a challenge right now, and we're hoping you can help.
Lots of people are chipping in what they can to build this campaign. That's important — because it's the only way we are going to win.
But the truth is that our average donation has dipped from $27 in 2016 to around $16 this month, and we are pacing behind where we need to be.
Here's why this presents a challenge for our campaign: Bernie doesn't go around the country collecting $2,800 max-out checks from the wealthy. But for each check cashed by one of our opponents, it requires 175 donations for us to keep pace.
That means two things:
- We need more individual donations
- Or we need to ask for slightly larger donations
When most people contribute to our campaign for the first time, they chip in $3. Today we would like to ask you to contribute a bit more.
If you're able to add a $10 contribution today, you will help our campaign stay on pace to win. How about it?
When you make a contribution to our campaign, you are not only supporting Bernie. You are building a movement across the country that is going to take on the billionaire class and create a government that works for all of us.
Thank you for contributing before Friday's deadline to make that possible.
In solidarity,
Faiz Shakir
Campaign Manager
