And these are not grassroots fundraising events. These are high-dollar functions hosted and attended by corporate lobbyists, health care executives, a Republican casino-CEO, and a union-busting lawyer among others.

And the totals are staggering: $700,000 in a few hours at an event in Pennsylvania. Almost $1.5 million at two events in Florida.
