Here is why I ask: We have an incredible amount of work ahead of us and the fight ahead will not be easy.

We are taking on powerful corporations and individuals who will spend obscene amounts of money to stop our campaign.

In order to take them on and win, our campaign is relying on lots of people contributing what they can.

So before our monthly fundraising deadline at midnight tonight, I need to ask:

Will you make a $3 contribution to our campaign today? It is important that we meet our monthly fundraising goal to stay on track to win.

Usually when a person runs for president, they spend a good portion of their time asking rich people for money. You will likely not be surprised to hear that is not what I am going to do.
