Sisters and Brothers -

On Tuesday night at midnight, we close the books on an end-of-month fundraising deadline we've set for the campaign.

This is important, and I want to be transparent about why. The next morning, we are going to sit down and look at our fundraising numbers and make some important spending decisions about state investments, staffing levels, and advertising.

And right now, we are a bit short of where we hoped we'd be — especially in light of the big money flowing into our opponents' campaigns this month.

So our job right now is to close the gap before this deadline ends. Every donation counts. And we'll put each of them to work in a way that will help us win. So I am asking:

Can you make a $3 donation to our campaign before our end-of-month fundraising drive comes to an end? This is important.

So that's the truth. We're really hoping you can help us finish April strong. Because the strength of our campaign has always been the number of people who make it go. And if you choose today to make your first contribution since Bernie got in this race, it would mean a lot.
