We're still reeling from the beautiful wave of people power that swept across every state and territory on Saturday. Thousands of people joined the rallies in El Paso, Austin, and Houston, and thousands more gathered for livestream watch parties for our official launch. Just look:
It was amazing to see. It gives us real leverage to build the largest and most inclusive grassroots campaign for president in history. But the next step is even more important. It's time to start talking to voters in our communities.
Knocking on doors and talking face-to-face with voters (also known as canvassing) is proven as the single most effective way to win votes. To get enough votes to win, it'll take thousands of people across the country going door-to-door.
So April 13-14, we're organizing a national weekend of canvasses. We're asking you to step up as a leader and host one in your community.
Hosting a canvass is easy. It means printing materials, meeting and training volunteers, and sending back the data collected. We'll provide all of the support and materials you need, and we'll help you recruit for your event.
We'll never be able to hire enough staff in enough places to get to the scale required to win and move millions of voters. So Beto is counting on volunteers like you taking the leap and hosting canvasses. To reach all of those voters, we have to start now.
Thank you for believing in this campaign,
Team Beto
