Pamela,
The Department of Justice is aggressively pursuing access to the voter rolls of 30 states. Their goal is to force states to hand over sensitive information for millions of Americans, including names and addresses, birth dates, driver's licenses, and Social Security numbers.
Why? They're claiming it's to maintain accurate rolls and ensure noncitizens aren't voting.
But we weren't born yesterday. There's ZERO evidence of significant voter fraud, according to the Justice Department's own findings. Based on the "confidential agreements" the DOJ has sent to states, it's clear as day that this is part of a broader scheme to interfere with states' ability to run their own elections.
This would be dangerous and unprecedented, and could lead to widespread voter suppression.
Anti-democracy forces are relentless in their attacks on free and fair elections — the very foundation of our democracy. We must be relentless in our efforts to defeat them and keep our democracy intact.
