Dear Andra,
As one of MoveOn's dedicated donors, we wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some highlights of MoveOn's work over the past month—and what a month it has been!
We started the month of October with the beginning of what has now become the longest government shutdown in history, with Republicans refusing to restore Medicaid funding and health care subsidies that would prevent millions of people from losing their health care coverage and millions more seeing their premiums skyrocket.
But while Republicans spent October turning their backs on the American people, we spent it organizing the movement to stop them. Take a look at some of the highlights …
CELEBRATING THE LARGEST DAY OF PROTEST IN U.S. HISTORY!
Of course, we cannot talk about October without highlighting the historic No Kings protests that took place across the country on October 18. MoveOn served as a key organizing partner with our allies at Indivisible, the ACLU, and more to coordinate more than 2,600 peaceful events in big cities and small towns, blue districts and ruby-red counties, with 7 million people turning out to remind Donald Trump and the Republicans that America will never bow to a king.
Just take a look at some of the images from events in Washington, D.C., Chicago, and even Bozeman, Montana!

Pulling off events like these takes months of planning and resources. Thanks to donors like you, the No Kings events were safe, secure, peaceful, and a powerful display of our grassroots movement to stop Trump!
PROTECTING IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES
Trump has turned ICE into his own private secret police, with masked agents abducting our immigrant friends and neighbors, ripping families apart, and terrorizing communities across the United States.
MoveOn has been working with our partners on multiple fronts to protect immigrant communities, ensure that everyone has the information they need to assert their legal rights, and stop the horrifying abuses of ICE and the Trump administration.
Together with our allies, we helped to print 3 million Know Your Rights cards that were sent to hosts of No Kings rallies and passed out to attendees. Thanks to your generous donations, we have also been able to create a digital toolkit that allies can use, including a guide on how to record and report ICE in your own communities.
We are also ramping up our work to stop the threats from the Trump administration to send ICE to the Super Bowl in response to the news that Bad Bunny—an American citizen from Puerto Rico—would be performing at the halftime show. Our petition has surpassed 81,000 and garnered enough press coverage that the mayor of Santa Clara, where this year's Super Bowl will take place, is being forced to respond to our demands!
And if you are watching football this weekend, keep an eye in the sky to see the aerial banner we will be flying over Levi Stadium!
And stay tuned. We will have a big announcement about our work to get Spotify to stop running ICE recruitment ads in the next few days.
MoveOn is funded by grassroots donors like you, giving what you can when you can. None of our work would be possible without you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your steadfast support.
