Since Trump has taken office, we've seen quacks take over our public health systems. And now, Casey Means, who has a radical approach to health, might be our next Surgeon General.
Casey Means is a quack influencer, making hundreds of thousands of dollars endorsing companies tied to her "wellness brand." She questions vaccines and pushes unproven "metabolic" cures, while saying that Alzheimer's and infertility are "under your control." She even lacks an active medical license! Imagine wanting to take critical medical advice from an unlicensed doctor.
And guess who cosigns all of this? Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. She agrees with RFK's decision to eliminate the vaccine council and his other inane, dangerous anti-science decisions. This sets a dangerous precedent. If Casey Means is confirmed, what other quacks who don't believe in science will take these important positions of power?
The "Make America Healthy Again" movement is dangerous, Pamela. Americans will die under her leadership. Science and medicine has advanced at such a rapid pace, but these anti-science leaders are taking us backwards. Our lives shouldn't be at risk because someone's personal beliefs outweighs science and logic.
It's 2025 and America needs a Surgeon General who stands – and believes in – evidence, ethics, and the health of every community. That's why it's critical to reach out to your senators to vote no on Casey Means's nomination to be our next Surgeon General.
