People are scared, Pamela:
Immigrants afraid to go to work, school, or church as masked agents snatch people off the street. Children going hungry as the Trump administration cuts SNAP benefits. Servicemembers receiving orders to commit acts that are unethical or outright illegal.
This hateful reality is abhorrent to activists like us. That's why, every day since Trump was inaugurated, Win Without War has been responding with solutions rooted in peace and justice. For the past few months, that's looked like a groundbreaking Know-Your-Rights campaign to push back on Trump's destructive National Guard deployments to U.S. cities and illegal warmongering in Latin America.
We don't work alone — and right now, we're in an all-out sprint with partners across the movement, including About Face, a trailblazing network of veterans and active-duty servicemembers organizing to end U.S. policy of permanent war and keep the troops out of our streets.
Pamela, we can't do this work without partners like About Face. We likely don't need to tell you that meeting this moment requires more resources than we anticipated, but it's organizations like ours that will build a movement capable of stopping ALL Trump's wars — at home and abroad.

A failed foreign policy status quo that prioritizes profit and war over people and peace won't change without those who are willing to fight every day in ways big and small for a better future. Pamela, you are helping build toward that vision.
As more troops express concerns or question their roles in Trump's political fights, we will be there for them with the resources and answers they need.
With your support, Win Without War has already placed more than a dozen billboards across the country asking servicemembers whether Trump's violent authoritarianism is really what they signed up for, and connecting them with resources they can rely on if they receive illegal orders.
The impact so far has been profound: Tens of thousands of people have visited our resource page. Our billboards have been covered by national press and military outlets alike, and in the face of new deployment orders and escalating violence in the Caribbean, we've expanded the campaign across five states — and counting.
It's not easy to follow your conscience or stand up against injustice. Receiving orders that may be unlawful can be a "frightening and isolating experience," our Associate Director of Policy and Campaigns, Harrison Mann, recently told The Huffington Post, adding it's "increasingly a possibility" amid Trump's unauthorized bombing campaign in Latin America.[1]
Harrison knows that better than most — last year, he resigned from the Pentagon's Defense Intelligence Agency, after more than 13 years of service with the U.S. Army, over U.S. support for the Israeli government's genocide in Gaza. Today, in coordination with About Face, Harrison is leading our campaign to let servicemembers know they have options as this White House works to weaponize them against the people. But we've got to go further, fast.
Someone needs to be there for veterans, because the Trump administration certainly isn't. Not even a $1 TRILLION Pentagon budget topline can prevent tens of thousands of veterans from being homeless, or stop hundreds of thousands of veterans from going hungry.
Luckily, whether it's reaching more servicemembers with support, calling for increases to fund community needs instead of building bigger arsenals, and avoiding new, endless wars — we are hard at work to keep people safe.
That's how we build resistance. That's how we reject Trump's violence-first approaches, and respond with sustained and undeniable messages of peace and justice. That's how we push forward our vision of a world where people can thrive without fear of violence.
Thank you for working for peace,
The Win Without War team
P.S. This Veterans Day, Win Without War and About Face are joining veterans to march, rally, and refuse to allow growing authoritarianism to be normalized by saying NO. No to ICE, no to occupation, no to fascism, and no to cuts stripping away life saving services our communities need. Find a "Vets Say No" event near you to join us in peaceful protest against war in our cities this Tuesday.
