51 senators voted NO to pulling Trump off the path to war with Venezuela. Let’s remind them that no one wants a new war.

Your senator voted to greenlight Trump's warmongering in Latin America.

Win Without War

Pamela: Sens. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Tim Kaine (D-VA), and Rand Paul (R-KY) recently forced a vote on a War Powers Resolution (WPR) that would've BLOCKED Trump's path to war with Venezuela.

Unfortunately, 51 senators, including Sens. Scott and Moody, shamefully voted to ALLOW Trump to keep marching us to the brink of another war.

If you're outraged, you're not alone. But as Trump continues to bomb first and ask questions later, this won't be the last opportunity for Congress to assert its authority and pull us off the path to war.

This fight isn't over. If we are going to flip the handful of votes we need to build a majority of senators willing to exert their constitutional war powers and stop Trump from starting a new endless war, accountability can go a long way. That's why these 51 senators need to hear from constituents like you, Pamela.

Fifty-one senators, including yours, failed to meet the moment. So let's send them a message they can't ignore: NO one wants another war! Act urgently to stop Trump's warmongering in Venezuela.

ACT NOW

Just 29% of Americans support Trump's unauthorized bombing campaign. Even fewer support using military force to remove Venezuela's president, as Trump has threatened.[1]

WE are the majority — and when we make our voices heard, we can force change for good.

Don't just take our word for it — look at the voting record: After constituents like you held the lone Democrat, Sen. John Fetterman, accountable for voting against last month's WPR, he reversed course to join 44 Democrats, two Independents, and two Republicans days ago. It's proof that our power is growing.

We know that 49 votes aren't enough, and that's why we need to chip away at the 51 senators who have failed to rein in Trump's warmongering.

It'll take a groundswell of people taking action to grow the coalition of anti-war lawmakers willing to push back, and it can't happen fast enough. As we speak, Trump is inching ever closer to a terrifying, unnecessary war that will impact millions of lives: The Navy's largest warship and a nuclear-powered submarine are now part of the U.S. military presence in the Caribbean — the largest it's been since the invasion of Panama in 1989.[2]

To keep building a movement powerful enough to stop a war, we can't let these senators' bad votes go unnoticed. That's where you come in, Pamela.

Will you send a message to your senators urging them to STOP Trump's warmongering and remind him that we, the people, reject another endless, destabilizing war?

We know what happens when Congress fails to hold the President back in moments like these, because we've seen it before: astronomical Pentagon budgets that leave our communities under-resourced while weapons CEOs pad their pockets, decades of unnecessary suffering and unspeakable violence, and millions of people, including military families here at home, left to worry and wonder if their loved ones are safe.

But every time we pressure our members of Congress, we're showing up for our values, reminding them we're paying attention, and holding them accountable. Each petition signature, phone call, and protest helps create the political space our decision-makers need to be bolder and work harder toward building the peaceful future we all want and deserve.

Thank you for working for peace,
The Win Without War team
